CREATIVE IDEAS FOR USING DDCARDS

DDCARDS can be used in many ways and combinations to customize what your customer gets. The key to this concept is the controlled access to your digital downloads with a physical product. The plastic card just happens to be a good vehicle to deliver the controlled download codes in a commercially attractive way. Theoretically, DDCODES can be printed on any object. We encourage our clients to be creative...although our most popular application is still based on the concept of '1 card = 1 album'. Here are some helpful suggestions for ways to promote your music or digital content.

Download Cards (For Musicians)

• Make cards for your album/project (1 card = 1 album) - include artwork and lyrics for your fans.
• Make cards for compilations (for record labels showcasing many artists) -excellent for trade shows and promo packages.
• Make cards for live or unreleased material. Include live video and studio recordings.
• Make cards for an entire discography. Put all your albums together on one card...these cards can be your 'gold card' and sold for a higher rate. You can also make large 'best of' compilations.
• Make promo-media cards with targeted content. Include your digital press-kit and high quality press photos/MP3s/music videos, concert posters etc. Everything a festival or concert promoter could need in one easy and cool download package. Also great for music conferences or those 'the right place at the right time' moments when a regular old business card just isn't enough.
• Make several different cards for the same promotion (eg. 1000 album cards, 100 vip press cards)
• Include ringtones with your album content to add 'that something extra'.
• No card required - DDCODES - forget the physical card altogether. Use our unique download codes for special mailing list promotions to press and other media. Reward fans for completing surveys or contests.

Download Event Passes

Cut with a hole-punch to wear as event/backstage passes.

• Digital Download Event Pass. The same dimensions as our standard, credit-card sized DDCARD.
• Give them out as press passes for backstage access to your shows. Include your latest album as a download on your event pass, as well as hi-res promo photos, press jacket in PDF format, and any other extras you can think of.
• Take them on tour and always have them handy to leave at the door for VIP's, and make all your street-teamers and guest-list groupies happy.
• Event passes don´t have to be only for a single event. They can be used over time to send to press or VIPs in different cities or areas (for example) before you get there to play. So, as an example, if you make 100 passes, you can use them for the next 25 or 50 concerts (assuming you invite 2 or 4 VIPs to each show).

Download Stickers

• Download Stickers work just like download cards. They are full colour, custom designed and have download PIN codes on them.
• Put download stickers on existing CD's to include exclusive extra content (live tracks, music, videos, ringtones, etc...).
• Use download stickers on your records to include digital copies of your music with your vinyl release.
• Attach them to T-shirts or other merchandise for special digital promo sales of your new album.

Download Tags

• Download Tags are similar to Download Stickers, but have a higher perceived value as a physical product. Their thickness and stylized shape, together with their custom printing, make them great items on their own, even though they are 1/3 the size of a standard DDCARD.
• Sell tags as individual collectable items just like a regular DDCARD. Attach a plastic cord (like a mini event pass) and sell them as cool collectibles.
• Hang download tags on other merchandise (T-shirts, etc.) to boost value and make combination sales.

Pricing Suggestions

Because this system is so cost-effective, you can use DDCARDS to sell your digital music at a bargain for your fans. Most groups are selling download cards at around 5 or 6 Euros per album. A fan who likes your band but doesn't want to pay 10 or 15 Euros for a CD is more likely to buy an affordably-priced digital download card. You can also boost T-shirt and other merchandise sales by including your new album in MP3 format using a DDTAG download tag or DDSTICKER.
